Happy Tails -- 快樂的尾巴們 


During the past few months we have had a number of successful adoptions and fosterings. A number of AT’s dogs have recently found homes overseas.

Xiao Hei just flew to England, Honey is now living in Connecticut, Jessie the cat recently flew the U.S. and our adorable little Momo may soon be off to England as well!

過去幾個月 來，我們成功的為AT園內的貓兒狗兒找到溫暖的家和 認養人。而且AT裏的幾隻狗兒還在海外找到新生呢。

小黑不久前飛往英國，蜜糖現在住在康乃狄格州，貓咪潔西也在最近飛到美國了，而且可愛的小毛毛可 能也快要到英國去住了唷！

Xiao Hei Flies to England

Xiao Hei has been with AT for six months and just recently flew to his new home in England. Adorable little three-legged Xiao Hei was rescued last year by Elizabeth Malone of Yilan Animal Rescue. Elizabeth found Xiao Hei just before she was heading back to England. Because of the six month quarantine period required to bring an animal into the U.K. she could not bring him back with her right away (she had already shipped her own rescued stray, Bozo, back home). AnimalsTaiwan agreed to keep Xiao Hei at the facility for the six months. 

Xiao Hei recently flew to England to meet his new family and sent Sean this letter. We think he may have had some help writing it, but he sounds happy nonetheless!

Dear Sean,

It has been my first full day with my new family in England. Jack is 11 years old and Mike is 8 years old. Although it is much colder than in Taiwan we had fun walking  through the woods today looking for rabbits and squirrels. It rained a lot but it was really good fun and I had lots of places that I could explore without having to worry about traffic. When we returned home I had lots of cuddles from Jack and Mike. I think that I am a very lucky dog. Lots of people helped to raise the money to send me to my new home and it is very, very nice. I have a comfortable warm home, two boys who already love me and I can go and visit my friend Bozo whenever I want. What else could a dog ask for.

Would you please say a big thank you to all the people who have helped me! I am such a lucky dog.

小 黑飛到英國了！

小黑在AT已經六個月了，最近前往他英國的新家。宜蘭動物救護中心的伊麗莎白馬隆是在去年救了可愛的三腳狗小黑。伊麗莎白是在回到英國前發現小黑的。由於 動物進入英國前需要花六個月進行隔離觀察，所以她無法馬上帶他回家（她已經把自己救的另外一隻狗兒，波佐送回家了。)Animals Taiwan同意讓小黑待在園區六個月。

小黑最近飛到了英國，和他的新家人會面並給Sean寄了一封信。顯然有人為他代筆，不過他聽起來相當開心。

親愛的Sean：

我跟我在英國的新家人共度了美好的一天。傑克十一歲，邁克八歲。雖然這裡比台灣冷得多，我們還是在森林裡頭玩得很開心，到處走來走去找兔子和松鼠。常常在 下雨，但是我還是過得很愉快，有好多地方可以去尋幽探險，而且不用擔心車子。回到家之後，傑克和邁克給我溫暖的擁抱。我覺得我是一隻非常幸運的狗。有好多 人捐錢好讓我飛到我的新家，而且我的家好棒啊。這個家又溫暖又舒適，有兩個愛我的小男生，而且我可以隨時去探望我的好朋友波佐。身為一隻狗，我真的別無所 求了。

拜託你跟所有幫助我的人說聲謝謝！我真的是太幸運了！

Honey Flies to the U.S.

Honey was found by one of AT’s Natasha Carr about a year ago. Natasha found Honey looking lost in a park and took her home with the intention of rehoming her as soon as possible. Natasha already has a number of animals and did not feel she would be able to keep Honey permanently.

Unfortunately, finding a new home for Honey turned out to be much more difficult for Natasha than she initially thought it would be. She then started looking at other options for Honey and, through the internet, found a woman named Anne in Milford Connecticut, who wanted to adopt Honey.

Last month Natasha flew Honey to Milford, Connecticut to her new home. When she arrived she discovered that Anne lives in a beautiful, quiet, neighborhood with fresh air, friendly people, just minutes from the beach! Honey now gets walked about 3 times a day. Anne often takes Honey to see her mother who now lives in a home for the aged. Anne says Honey is very therapeutic for her mom who is now in the early stages of Alzheimers. Honey is mostly inside the house and has to take turns with Blythe (one of Anne’s cats) to sleep on the bed with Anne at night. Honey is also very lucky to have her own little backyard - securely fenced.


蜜 糖飛往美國

AT的娜塔沙卡爾是在一年前發現蜜糖的。娜塔沙看到蜜糖在公園裡面走屍了，把她帶回家，想要立刻幫她找個新家。娜塔沙家裏已經有幾隻貓狗了，而且覺得不太 可能永遠讓蜜糖跟她一塊兒住。

可是幫蜜糖找新家，比娜塔沙原本想的要困難得多。她因此開始替蜜糖考慮幾個選擇，然後透過網路，找到了一個名叫安的善心女子，安住在康乃狄格州的密爾福 市，她願意認養蜜糖。

上個月娜塔沙帶著蜜糖前往康乃狄格州的新家。當娜塔沙抵達目的地，她發現安所住的地方是個風景優美安靜的社區，而且空氣清新，鄰居也很友善，距離海灘只有 幾分鐘之遠呢！蜜糖現在一天可以散步三次。安常常帶著蜜糖去拜訪她住在老人院的母親。安說，蜜糖對她患有阿茲海默症早期症狀的母親，具有非常驚人的療癒效 果。蜜糖大部分的時間是住在家裏，必須跟布萊絲（安眾多貓中的其中一隻）輪流睡在安的床上。蜜糖也有自己專屬的後院唷－這後院的籬笆很堅固喔。

狗狗潔西飛往美國


潔西已經被一名住在美國名叫夏恩的善心男子所認養。她已經安全抵達美國，展開新生。她的影片。

Chanel and Yang Mei Mei Living in Luxury


Chanel and Yang Mei Mei (another of our three legged dogs) were recently adopted by Faye Angevine, one of the owners of Bai Win antiques shop. Faye came to visit the holding centre one day, took one look at them and took them both home!

Chanel is a gorgeous dog who loves people. She wasn’t with us for long and we suspect she had not been a stray for long. She is now back in a happy hope.

Yang Mei Mei’s story is a little bit sad. He was brought in by Patricia, who runs a humane community stray management project just outside XinDian,. Yang Mei Mei had such badly deformed and infected feet that we had to remove one of his legs.

However, all of that is in the past and now he and Chanel are both doing fine and living in the lap of luxury.

香 奈兒和楊妹妹吃香喝辣


香奈兒和楊妹妹（另外一隻三腳狗）最近由費依安如恩所認養，安如恩是Bai Win古董店的店主之一。她有一天來到園區，才看到這兩隻狗兒一眼，就決定把他們帶回家囉！
 
  香奈兒長得非常美艷，也很愛跟人在一起。她跟我們在一起的時間並不久，我們猜她當流浪動物的時間也滿短的。她現在有快樂溫暖的家了。

楊妹妹的故事有點悲傷。她是派翠莎帶來的。派翠莎在新店外區經營一個人道社區流浪動物管理計畫。楊妹妹的腳變形得很嚴重，我們不得不移除那隻腳。

但是這一切都過去了，現在她和香奈兒過得很好，還吃香喝辣唷！

Mister and Missus Find a Great Retirement Home 


Anyone who has spent anytime at the facility is familiar with Mister and Missus!

Rescued by Sean back when the organization was just starting out, Mister and Missus had been with AT the longest. Due to their age (approximately 14 years old) and the fact that they could not be separated (they are very attached to one another), we were concerned that they may have to spend the rest of their days at the facility.  In the end, their old age actually ended up being an advantage. A man who was fostering Chanel, one of our younger dogs, found Chanel’s rambunctious personality a little too much to handle and asked if he could swap her for an older, mellower dog. He took Mister and Missus and the rest is history. Everyone at the facility misses having Mister and Missus around but are so happy to know that they can live out their golden years in a nice loving home.

先 生和小姐找到溫暖的退休新家


任何來過我們園區的人一定都知道鼎鼎大名的先生和小姐！

他們倆是Sean開始成立AT時所拯救的，先生和小姐算是AT的元老了。由於他們年事已高（大概十四歲），密不可分（他們兩個非常要好），我們原本很擔心 他們可能一輩子都要待在園區了。結果呢，他們的年紀卻成為自己一大優勢呢。一個原來領養香奈兒的人發現她活潑喧鬧的個性不太適合自己，問說可否換一隻年紀 較大、較溫和的狗。他把先生和小姐帶回家了！每個在園區的人都很想念先生和小姐，但是也很高興他們可以在一個很棒的家愉快地渡過餘生！
