Adoption Profiles featured in China Times

Adoption profiles are starting to go regularly into the China Times newspaper. This should help a great deal in helping to get our animals adopted. AT would like to have adoption profiles in all of the  major Chinese and English newspapers in Taiwan. 22隻波斯貓咪被領養!

22 Persian cats adopted!

In early August, AT volunteers Anita and Kent discovered 11+ cages in an alley in Donghu. The cages contained 23 beautiful, pure-bred Persian cats. The owner, Mr. Li, had originally acquired only two females and one male, but  because he failed to properly neuter them, they eventually had dozens of kittens, many of which he kept. Mr. Li could no longer afford to rent an apartment to house them, and had left them in the basement of his previous apartment building, where he and the doorman had taken turns caring for them. However, the apartment community eventually lost patience with him, and after a month decided to move the cats out of the building and into the alley.

When AT discovered them and learned that Mr. Li had no way to care for them anymore, we rented a truck and took them to our holding center, where the cats are now          receiving vet care, including vaccinations and neutering. After issuing a press release, Anita and Kent were immediately inundated with hundreds of phone calls and have managed to get ALL of the cats adopted in only a few weeks!

Anita and Kent worked very hard on this, spending hours talking on the phone and meeting adopters at the facility. Thank you to both of them for doing such a great thing!

八月上甸AT的義工Anita 及Kent在東湖發現了十幾個共裝了23隻美麗純種波斯貓的籠子。 原來的貓主李先生擁有兩隻母貓和一隻公貓。結紮不良的後果使這幾隻貓生了幾打小貓。李先生留了幾隻小貓, 但是不久就不能再繼續租房子養牠們了, 所以就把牠們留在老公寓的地下室 由他自己和管理員輪留照顧。 不幸不久後住戶們就受不了了, 所以小貓們就被搬到屋外的巷口。

AT得知李先生再沒能力扶養小貓後就租了一台卡車把貓咪們接來AT中心。 現在貓咪們有醫療照顧, 有打育防針也已節紮。經報紙報導之後Anita 及Kent接到上百通電話, 且在短短幾星期內替貓咪們找到新施主。

Anita 及Kent真忙死了! 不停的接電話及約見想領養的人。大家在此感謝Anita 及Kent的用心!
