AnimalsTaiwan hosted yet another great Pub Quiz this summer! This quiz was a music quiz and took place at Citizen Cain. The event was a big success, raising $16,900NT! |

每一隊的表現都非常亮眼，直到最後一輪，優勝隊伍才出爐。最後的冠軍為Who Bears Wins隊，每個隊員非常開心的接下Citizen Cain 所提供價值新台幣5000元的禮券。.No Hopers隊緊接在後，獲得第二名，並獲得Grandma Nitti's所提供價值新台幣3000元的禮券。第三名隊員獲得由Mary Jane's Pizza所提供價值新台幣2000元的禮券。另外，有許多幸運的參賽者獲得抽獎獎項，包括由Swami Salami所提供的一個月期瑜珈券、Peacock 所贊助的新台幣500元禮券、M&M Hair Studio的髮型折價卷、以及Shinyimports.com的折價卷。 問答賽結束前，抽出了一位幸運的50/50 獎大贏家。 |

All teams performed exceptionally well, and in a close race, first place ultimately went to Who Bears Wins team, whose members happily collected the grand prize of NT$5,000 in gift certificates generously donated by Citizen Cain. No Hopers team came in close on the heels of the winner, coming second and winning NT$3,000 in gift certificates from Grandma Nitti's. The third place team was delighted to receive NT$2,000 in gift certificates from Mary Jane's Pizza. In addition, several lucky contestants won draw prizes, including a one month yoga pass from Swami Salami, and a $500NT gift certificate from Peacock, hair dressing coupons from Eddie at M&M Hair Studio, and coupons from Shinyimports.com. The event ended with one lucky contestant winning our 50/50 draw. It was a fun night - certainly one of the best ways we've discovered to put the "fun" into fundraising! Thanks again to all those who made it happen, and to all of our readers who thinks this sounds like a lot of fun, remember to keep your eye out for future fun-filled events sponsored by AnimalsTaiwan! |

小朋友教育活動 |

AT recently held what we hope to be the first of many educational events for young children. The event consisted of a morning with students ages 6-8 from Wah Wah World School. Students got the chance to meet some of the adorable dogs from our facility. Many children are taught to be afraid of animals from a very young age. The purpose behind the event was to dispel many of the myths that children have been taught about stray dogs. |

動物台灣最近舉辦一個針對小朋友的教育活動，這是我們預計要舉辦的許多活動的第一波。此活動的對象是來自Wah Wah World School，年齡層為6-8歲的上午班小朋友。小朋友藉此機會，與我們動物台灣可愛的小狗見面。許多小朋友從小就被教育不要接近小動物，這個活動的目的是要消除這個"小朋友必須要遠離流浪狗"的迷思。 |

To help promote better pet care and animal awareness in Taiwan, the Taipei Veterinarian Medical Association teamed up with Taipei Municipal Institute for Animal Health and other animal-care activist groups in offering free clinic services and assorted pet-care-related activities at the nation's first Taipei Pet Film Festival. This event, held on September 16th and 17th, was hosted at two different locations: Taipei City in the daytime, and Danshui in the evenings. Recent favorite pet films such as "Lassie", "102 Dalmatians", and "Quill" were shown at designated times and at various locations. |

為了培養國內更完善的寵物照顧和動物保育方案，台北市獸醫師公會、台北市動物衛生檢驗所以及各大保護動物團體聯合舉辦了第一屆台北動物保護活動暨寵物電影節。此活動有獸醫師免費義診時間、教導民眾如何愛護寵物…等等相關善型活動，分別在9/16, 9/17兩天舉行，白天地點位於台北市青少年育樂中心，傍晚則在淡水捷運站出口。民眾也可欣賞六部經典寵物影片，其中包誇"靈犬萊西"、"102真狗"、還有"再見了，可魯"。 |

Animals Taiwan was invited to participate in the evening sessions by the Danshui MRT station. On the second day of the event, a one-hour slot was reserved on stage for Animals Taiwan to showcase our organization and three of our adorable canines: Prince, Elvis, and Ariel. This was another good opportunity for our volunteers to address to the public the plight of homeless and abused animals in Taiwan. |

Animals Taiwan這次受邀參與此盛會，攤位剛好擺在人潮擁擠的淡水捷運站出口旁。在第二天的活動中，主辦單位挪出一個小時的舞台時間給Animals Taiwan，好讓AT志工們利用此機會介紹AT成立的目的以及AT自家的三隻愛犬Prince、Elvis和Ariel的辛酸故事，並借由牠們的故事，呼籲國人有關流浪動物以及受虐動物問題的嚴重性。 |
