Welcome to the first issue of the newsletter, a brand new way to keep you informed of all the goings-on at AnimalsTaiwan.  Within the newsletter you can read all about what has been happening, what will be happening soon, and ways you can help.  It is our goal to make a significant difference to the lives of as many animals as possible here in Taiwan.  To date, AnimalsTaiwan has helped over 130 animals, from dogs in distress and cats in need of care, to abandoned budgies and baby bats.

This month has been an exciting one for us as we have recently signed the lease on a property in which to board our animals.  After months of looking for the perfect location we have finally found a location in the Shilin district of Taipei.

Many dedicated volunteers have been hard at work and have spent many hours cleaning and painting the facility.  Our next step is to start building kennels for our dogs.  If you have any experience in this area or would like to help out , please get in touch with Tracey or Yael.  They would be thrilled to hear from you!

The facility should be fully up and running in a few weeks.  When it is ready, we plan to have  a "Grand Opening"  to meet and thank all of our amazing volunteers and supporters! Also, we will soon have a volunteer drop-in center with information and resources for people who would like to get more involved and help out.

I would love to meet all of you and thank you in person for your interest in AnimalsTaiwan, and for your concern for the welfare of our four-legged, furry, and feathered friends on this island many of us call home. Without your support, there would be no AnimalsTaiwan, and a lot fewer animals whose lives have been changed thanks to our intervention on your behalf.

So, please enjoy the newsletter. If you have any suggestions of what you might like to see in the next issue, do let us know. We always like to hear from you.

Take care,

Sean McCormack
